Bottles wanted

What is my bottle worth? Where do I sell this enamel sign I’ve had in the shed for years? How much can I sell my collection of pot lids for? Who would buy all the boxes of bottles I have in my shed? etc etc

There are no simple answers, but our experience of nearly 40 years in the field will help (and if we don’t know, we’ll know someone that does!)

Many factors determine value and it may not be quite as obvious as you’d think! – As an example, ‘age’ and ‘rarity’ are normally what you’d expect to be at the top of the list, but a very early (c1850) impressed salt-glazed Porter from certain parts of the country could be worth just £10-20, whereas a far more common Codd bottle (the lemonade bottle with the marble in) in dark green glass
