Many factors determine value and it may not be quite as obvious as you’d think! – As an example, ‘age’ and ‘rarity’ are normally what you’d expect to be at the top of the list, but a very early (c1850) impressed salt-glazed Porter from certain parts of the country could be worth just £10-20, whereas a far more common Codd bottle (the lemonade bottle with the marble in) in dark green glass
